The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Events has announced it will hold its first industry evidence session on Monday 13 April 2026 in Parliament.
The session will be chaired by Martin Rhodes MP, Chair of the APPG for Events, and will bring together an select group of senior representatives from a cross-section of the events sector.
The 90-minute roundtable has been designed to open a formal dialogue between parliamentarians and the events sector, giving industry leaders a direct platform to set out the key issues, challenges and opportunities facing their organisations. The APPG will use the evidence gathered to inform its policy priorities and future parliamentary engagement.
Discussing the upcoming roundtable Martin Rhodes MP said: “It is important for the APPG to fully understand the challenges that the events sector faces, but also the opportunities that exist, and I and my colleagues are very much looking forward to hearing from representatives from all parts of the event economy, and to continuing to support this vital sector in Parliament.”
The evidence session will also be used to inform Ministers and officials as part of the overall APPG Plan of Work for this current Parliament.
PR & Communications agency Davies Tanner, through its The Business of Events Think Tank and Advocacy Network, manages the APPG for Events and acts as a Special Advisor to the group.
